[origin: US4710240A] Cold rolled steel strip is uncoiled, cleaned, and passed into an annealing furnace, wherein the strip is heated to and held at a relatively hot temperature, subsequently quenched, and coiled; after a period of storage the strip passes through the same equipment but now including additional pickling for removing an oxide layer, and the strip passes through the annealing furnace a second time, while operating said annealing furnace for heating to and holding at a lower temperature to obtain aging; thereafter the strip is coiled again.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Glühen von kaltgewalztem Stahlband, bei dem das Band von Ablaufhaspeln abgewickelt und nacheinander durch verschiedene Behandlungsstationen hindurchgeführt wird. Die Erfindung ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß insbesondere bei der Verarbeitung kleinerer Bandmengen das Band nach dem Verlassen der Wasserabschreckvorrichtung (14) nach Durchlaufen der Trockenvorrichtung (15) und des Bandspeichers (16) zu einem Bund aufgehaspelt und als Bund einem Zwischenlager (19) zugeführt wird und daß das Bund vom Zwischenlager (19) kommend erneut dem Ablaufhaspel (1) zugeführt wird, um ein zweites Mal durch die jetzt als Überalterungslinie betriebene Glühlinie (10 bis 13) geführt zu werden, wobei das Band in bekannter Weise zunächst gebeizt (6), neutralisiert (7), gespült (8), getrocknet (9) und im Glühofen (10) bei geeigneter Temperatur in üblicher Weise überaltert (12) und anschließend aufgehaspelt (18) wird.
