1. An overhead monorail, particularly for mining, having a rail which consists of two sections connected with a space between them, which both have a perpendicular middle section to which substantially horizontal parts are attached at the top and bottom, with the lower parts forming bearing surfaces for cars, characterized in that the sections are U-sections connected on their backs and the joint elements (14 ; 15) of the rail (3) are disposed in the space between the U-sections (4).

Eine Einschienenhängebahn weist eine Schiene (3) auf, die aus zwei U-Profilen (4) zusammengesetzt ist, die an ihren Rücken mit Abstand voneinander durch zwei Blechleisten (5; 6) verbunden sind. Die Stoßverbindungselemente (14; 15) sind in dem Zwischenraum der U-Profile (4) angeordnet. Eine solche Schiene (3) hat nur eine geringe Bauhöhe. Sie kann ferner an ihrer Unterseite mit einer Stockkette (8) für den Eingriff eines Triebzahnrades eines Triebwagens versehen werden.
