Abstract (en)
In those of their regions which are subject to alternating thermal stresses above the elastic limit, internal-combustion engine components cast from silicon-containing aluminium alloys are covered with a hard anodic coating. In order to increase the resistance of such components to thermal fatigue, mouldings consisting of fibres and/or whiskers are cast in in the regions covered with the hard anodic coating. <IMAGE>

Aus siliziumhaltigen Aluminium-Legierungen gegossene Bauteile für Brennkraftmaschinen sind in ihren thermischen überelastischen Wechselbeanspruchungen unterliegenden Bereichen mit einer Harteloxalschicht überzogen. Um die Beständigkeit solcher Bauteile gegenüber thermischer Ermüdung zu erhöhen, sind in den mit der Harteloxalschicht überzogenen Bereichen aus Fasern und/oder Whiskern bestehende Formkörper eingegossen.
