Abstract (en)

[origin: WO8602060A1] The double scissor-type vehicle jack has four scissor-type arms (10 to 13) mutually connected by articulations to a guide polygon. The jack is provided with a manually operated threaded shaft (14) which passes through the polygon and is supported on a scissor-type pair of arms which face one another, with shaft nut and a shaft thrust bearing (16). At the top and bottom, there are articulations (23, 25) which connect the scissor-type arms (10, 12; 11, 13) with one another. The vehicle jack has a supporting part (20, 21) which is connected with the scissor-type arms (10, 12; 11, 13) and possesses a guide slot (26) which forms a sliding guide for the scissor-type arm articulation. In order to achieve a simple design offering perfect control of the vehicle jack simply by the extension of the supporting part, at least one arm (12) of one pair of scissor-type arms (12, 13) is extended beyond articulation which lies next to the arm (10) of the other pair of scissor-type (10, 11) and exerts a rotational action by means of this extension (24), on the supporting part (20), in the guide slot of which a control part (27) of the scissor-type arm (10) actuates the other pair of scissor-type arms (10, 11).
