[origin: WO8602179A1] A cutting and framing device for cutting a film section (9) in which the latter can be lowered into a slide frame (10) that is located under a cutting machine (5) and is lying ready in a drawer (7), and can be inserted into the slide (10) when the drawer (7) is pulled out, by application against a guide plate (2a). The guide plate (2a) forms a part of a cover plate (2) which serves to hold a cutting plate (3) and to cover the guide passage (1a) for the drawer (7). By means of a leaf spring (8) which runs under the drawer (7) the slide frame (10) is pressed without any play against the guide plate (2a) which is fixed in a stationary position. The front edge of the film section (9) strikes against a projecting stopping edge (2e) of the guide plate (2a) so that the film section (9) is pressed into a rear slot of the frame (10) and is inserted with a curved action into the front slot of the slide frame (10).
