Mixing device containing a) a mixing vessel (4) which consists of two vessel parts (5, 6) which can be connected to one another and of which the first vessel part (5) is constructed so as to be transportable, b) a stationary mounting (1) on which the second vessel part (6) is mounted so as to be pivotable about a horizontal pivot axis (14) by at least 180 degrees and the mixing vessel (4) is pivotable thereby between a vessel changing position and a mixing position, c) a stirrer (8) arranged in the second vessel part (6), characterised by the following feature : d) the second vessel part (6) can be raised and lowered by means of a lifting arrangement (16, 17) with respect to the pivot axis (14).
