[origin: US4693033A] A mechanism for opening, closing and locking doors with two leaves for cable cars, wherein the two leaves of a car door are controlled at the top and the bottom by a crank lever integral with a control piece movable horizontally in the vertical plane of symmetry of the two door leaves. Each crank lever acts on a horizontal toggle joint with dead point clearance whose links are pivotally secured respectively to levers rotating about fixed vertical axes forming the axes of rotation of the two door leaves, said levers being connected respectively to the radial arms of the door leaves by resilient connections providing locked closure of the leaves even if one of them is held slightly open.

Le dessin d'abrégé montre schématiquement en coupe horizontale les deux vantaux 2-3 d'une porte de cabine commandés en haut et en bas par un maneton 16 solidaire d'une pièce de commande 9 mobile horizontalement dans le plan vertical de symétrie des deux vantaux. Chaque maneton 16 agit sur une genouillère horizontale à franchissement de point mort dont les biellettes 17-18 s'articulent respectivement à des leviers 19-20 tournant autour d'axes fixes verticaux 21-22 constituant les axes de rotation des deux vantaux, les leviers 19-20 étant reliés respectivement aux bras radiaux 23-24 du vantail 2 et aux bras radiaux 25-26 du vantail 3 par des liaisons élastiques permettant la fermeture verrouillée de vantaux même si l'un d'eux est maintenu en entrebaillement.
