[origin: WO8503008A1] The apparatus is comprised of two pairs of separate surfaces (5, 13 and 6, 14), of which one surface of each pair (5, 6) is used for guiding purposes and the other one (13, 14), formed by a tool (3) is intended to the sharpening. The second guiding surface (6) is several times larger than the first guiding surface (5) and than the second sharpening surface (14). The width of the first sharpening surface (13) is preferably adjustable. It determines a band extending on a constant distance from the first guiding surface (5) by means of an adjustable support part (8). The total width corresponds approximately to that of the second guiding surface (6). The support is L-shaped in its cross-section. The tool (3) which has cutting edges on both its faces, is secured to the second wing of the support and forms the two sharpening surfaces (13, 14). The securing of the tool is provided only by a medial clamping, thereby enabling a longitudinal flexion on both sides.

L'appareil présente deux paires de surfaces séparées (5, 13 et 6, 14), dont une de chaque paire (5, 6) sert au guidage et l'autre (13, 14), formée par un outil (3), sert à l'affûtage. La seconde surface de guidage (6) est plusieurs fois plus large que la première surface de guidage (5) et que la seconde surface d'affûtage (14). La largeur de la première surface d'affûtage (13) est de préférence réglable. Elle détermine une bande s'étendant sur une distance constante à partir de la première surface de guidage (5) grâce à une pièce d'appui réglable (8). La largeur totale correspond approximativement à celle de la deuxième surface de guidage (6). Le support a une section de forme générale en L. L'outil (3), qui présente des arêtes tranchantes sur ses deux faces, est fixé sur la deuxième aile du support et forme les deux surfaces d'affûtage (13, 14). La fixation de l'outil est assurée uniquement par un serrage médian, ce qui permet une flexion longitudinale sur les deux côtés.
