Le siège du type divan ou autre, transformable en lit comprend, une armature (2) consitituée d'un châssis periphérique en plusieurs secteurs successifs (5, 6, 7, 8) reliés par des charnières (10, 11, 12) dont certaines sont réglables en position, et un rembourrage (3) constitué par un élément continu, de préférence d'une seule pièce, auquel est intégré le châssis dont certains secteurs se replient les uns sur les autres, le rembourrage et le châssis étant fixés l'un à l'autre par une housse (4).
