[origin: US4848919A] A pinned mill for a mixer having a mixing mechanism has a motor outside the mixer container and a rotor inside the container and spaced apart from its walls. The rotor is rotationally drivable by the motor and is at least partly surrounded at a tangent by a stator having pins arranged concentrically with the rotor axis, the rotor being arranged inside the pins. The rotor is provided with elements defining a grinding gap with respect to the pins. In order to improved the grind performance without notably increasing the drive power, the rotor elements defining the grinding gap with respect to the stator pins are embodied only by vanes extending approximately radially to the rotor axis. The radially outer ends of the vanes have a cutting edge. The stator pins have an edge associated with the radially outer vane edges. The rotor is also embodied as substantialy open, inside the stator.

Ein Stiftmühle für einen Mischer mit Mischwerk weist einen Motor außerhalb des Behälters des Mischers und einen innerhalb des Behälters (12) und im Abstand von dessen Wand mit dem Motor drehantreibbar verbundenen Rotor (26) auf. Der Rotor (26) ist zumindest teilweise tangential von einem Stator (22) umgeben, der etwa konzentrisch zur Achse (21) des Rotors (26) angeordnete Stifte (24) aufweist, innerhalb derer der Rotor (26) angeordnet ist. Der Rotor (26) ist mit einen Mahlspalt zu den Stiften (24) begrenzenden Elementen versehen. Um eine Verbesserung des Mahlergebnisses zu erreichen, ohne daß es zu einer nennenswerten Erhöhung der Antriebsleistung kommt, sind die einen Mahlspalt zu den Stiften (24) des Stators (22) begrenzenden Elemente des Rotors (26) nur durch etwa radial zu seiner Achse (21) verlaufende Flügel (28) gebildet, deren radial äußere Enden eine Schneidkante aufweisen. Die Stifte (24) des Stators (22) weisen mindestens eine den radial äußeren Enden der Flügel (28) zugeordnete Kante auf. Weiterhin ist der Rotor (26) innerhalb des Stators (22) im wesentlichen offen ausgebildet.
