[origin: US4737223A] The invention concerns a label dispenser to dispense and deposit stick-on labels, whereby in each operational cycle one stick-on label is moved into a dispensing position below a compression roller with a contoured surface and a sleeve by means of which the compression roller is rotatably supported on a fixed shaft. The compression roller comprises individually designed cross-sectionally contoured rings which rest through spring elements mounted to their interiors on the sleeve.
