[origin: US4610261A] A process of and apparatus for conditioning the hair, especially the tips thereof. After the hair has been dampened, for example by shampooing, and optionally dried, either partially or completely, it is subjected to a conditioning step in which it is maintained in an atmosphere having a relative humidity of from about 40 to 80% and at a temperature of from about 35 DEG to 75 DEG C. A special hood may be provided for use in the conditioning operation.

Procédé pour le séchage des cheveux après un traitement humide dan lequel, aprés le traitement humide, on sèche les cheveux à une température comprise entre 35 et 75°C environ. La dernière phase de ce séchage est une phase de conditionnement mettant en oeuvre un air soufflé humide ayant une hygrométrie relative comprise entre 40 et 80% environ. Selon ce procédé, les cheveux sont séchés à l'état libre et, pour améliorer l'état et l'aspect des cheveux après séchage, et en particulier de leurs pointes, on les soumet d'abord à un séchage initial jusqu'à ce qu'ils aient un poids inférieur à leur poids initial avant traitement humide, et ensuite à la phase de conditionnement en air humide jusqu'à obtention de la réhydration concomitante à l'effet de conditionnement.
