[origin: EP0429431A2] The facade cladding has fastening means for the facade elements (1) which each consist of a support (3) for absorbing vertical forces and of a mounting (4) for absorbing horizontal forces. The supports (3) and mountings (4) are guided in guide rails (2), the supports (3) being at a fixed height, whereas the mountings (4) are vertically displaceable. The shell-shaped facade elements (1) have an L-shaped upper edge portion and a U-shaped lower edge portion. The horizontal leg (13) of the upper edge portion of the respective lower facade element is laid onto the associated support (3), whilst its vertical leg (14) and the vertical leg (16) of the lower edge portion of the facade element arranged above it engage into the mounting (4). <IMAGE>
