To provide a weldable polymer bitumen web which has not only a high sealing action and a long life but can also be laid easily and in a time-saving manner, it is proposed according to the invention that the weldable web has a closed, homogeneous sealing layer (1), to the top of which the carrier (2) is applied which is impregnated to saturation with polymer bitumen, and the underside of which is designed as a separation and (vapour pressure) compensation layer. The separation and (vapour pressure) compensation layer is a channel system (3) which consists of mutually crossing longitudinal grooves (4) and transverse grooves (5).
