1. Device for controlling the heating element in a binding device for the binding of loose sheets in covers, which are provided with a thermoplastic adhesive on their spine, with a switch for switching on the heating element and with a timer, which can be switched on at a high temperature at the beginning of the binding cycle and which indicates the end of the binding cycle by means of a signal, characterized in that, to detect the temperature of the heating element, a temperature sensor is provided, which is connected via an electronic circuit to the timer in such a manner that it switches the timer on automatically and only when the heating element is at or above a given, high temperature.

Eine Einrichtung zur Steuerung der Heizeinrichtung eines Bindegerätes zum Einbinden von losen Blättern in mit einem thermoplastischen Kleber am Rücken versehenen Einbanddecken weist einen Schalter zum Einschalten der Heizeinrichtung und eine zu Beginn des Bindezyklus bei erhöhter Temperatur einschaltbaren, das Ende des Bindezyklus durch ein Signal angebende Zeitschaltuhr auf. Um ein zuverlässiges Einbinden von Papierblättern in Einbanddecken bei geringstmöglichem Zeit- und Bedienungsaufwand zu erreichen, ist zur Erfassung der Temperatur der Heizeinrichtung ein Temperatursensor vorgesehen, der über eine elektronische Schaltung derart mit der Zeitschaltuhr verbunden ist, daß er die Zeitschaltuhr automatisch und nur dann einschaltet, wenn die Heizeinrichtung eine bestimmte, erhöhte oder darüberliegende Temperatur aufweist.
