Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0202476A1] 1. Dental device comprising several handpieces (3 to 6) connected to supply lines (2) which may be stored in through-shaped storage devices (7) in their non-use position and the supply lines (2) of which are held by means of supporting elements (11) in an obliquely upward position directed away from the operator's position, the supporting elements (11) being arranged pivotably about a horizontal axle bearing (23) and loaded with a restoring force to move the supply lines back into the obliquely up-wardly-directed position again when the handpieces have been placed in their non-use positions, characterised in that the ends, on the device side, of the supply lines (2) of all the handpieces (3 to 6) comprise identically designed connection fittings (9) for the releasable connection during operation, i.e. without the aid of tools, to appropriately designed connection fittings (10) on the device side, and in that the ends, on the device side, of the supporting elements (11) of all the handpieces (3 to 6) similarly contain identically designed connection parts (13) for the releasable connection during operation to appropriately designed mounting parts (21) on the device side, the connection parts (13) for the supporting elements (11) being so designed that they may be moved in a form-fitting manner into and out of engagement with the mounting parts (21) and may each be removed from the device (1) independently of one another.
