Verfahren zum Bügeln eines Textilmaterials mit einer Bügelvorrichtung (1), die eine Sohlenplatte (6), ein Gebläse (2) und eine Austrittsöffnung (8) in der Sohlenplatte (6) aufweist. Das Gebläse (2) erzeugt einen Luftstrom, der über die Austrittsöffnung (8) zwischen die Sohlenplatte (6) und das Textilmaterial (3) geführt wird. Es wird vorgeschlagen, ein großflächiges und tragfähiges Luftpolster zwischen Sohlenplatte (6) und Textilmaterial (3) auszubilden und eine kalte Sohlenplatte (6) zu verwenden.
