The invention relates to a cylinder lock with plate tumblers. L'invention concerne un verrou à barillet et paillettes. Le verrou selon l'invention est caractérisé par le fait que les encoches et les saillies (8, 110, 11a, 111, 111a) de la clé (6, 107) qui travaillent simultanément des deux côtés de la clé (6, 107), ont une distance constante entre elles dans un plan transversal, les paillettes (9, 102) ayant des ouvertures (4, 104) dont la plus grande dimension correspopnd à cette distance, de façon que la clé (6, 107) agisse sur les paillettes (9, 102) en formant voie de passage constante pour positionner les paillettes (9, 102), ainsi guidées, dans leur position active ou inactive.
