It should be possible, in the case of a multiple V pulley and a method of making rotationally symmetrical bodies, such as wheels, from material which can be formed without cutting, a pulley blank with an equal wall thickness throughout being split at the outer edge, the region of the split then being widened and, if required, upset and then profiled, to achieve a weight reduction, it being possible to undershoot from the outset the wall thickness of the pulley blanks which is necessary for splitting. This is achieved by the fact that the outer edge region, which it is intended to split, of the pulley blank is upset before splitting. <IMAGE>

Bei einer Mehrfach-V-Riemenscheibe sowie einem Verfahren zur Herstellung von rotationssymmetrischen Körpern, wie Rädern aus spanlosverformbarem Material, wobei ein Scheibenrohling mit einer durchgehend gleichstarken Wandstärke außenrandseitig gespalten, der Spaltbereich anschließend aufgeweitet und ggf. gestaucht und nachfolgend profiliert wird, soll eine Gewichtsverringerung erzielbar sein, wobei die durch die für das Spalten notwendige Wandstärke der Scheibenrohlinge von Anfang an unterschritten werden kann. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, daß vor dem Spalten der zum Spalten vorgesehene Außenrandbereich des Scheibenrohlinges aufgestaucht wird.
