[origin: US4733985A] The binder mechanism for loose-leaf binders or file folders comprises a flat, oblong support plate on which are disposed at a standardized mutual distance at least two binder yokes, each consisting of a fixed yoke rod and pivotable yoke part, which is provided with a crank arm. The pivotable yoke parts are operable jointly because they are interconnected by a coupling rod disposed in the support plate. The support plate is made of plastic and has a cavity which is open at its underside and in which the crank arms and the coupling rod are accommodated. The privotable yoke parts are mounted in mounting bushings integrally molded to the likewise plastic crank arms mounted in hollow cylindrical bearing lugs or bearing holes of the support plate. The coupling rod and/or at least one of the crank arms are associated with a releasable detent or locking device which arrests the movable yoke parts jointly in their pivoted position forming the yoke shape. Advantages include: simple and low-cost production, easy handling, great functional reliability.

Die Heftmechanik für Loseblattordner oder -hefter besteht aus einer flachen, länglichen Trägerplatte (3), auf der in einem genormten Abstand voneinander wenigstens zwei Heftbügel angeordnet sind, die jeweils aus einem feststehenden Bügelstab (20) und einem schwenkbaren Bügelteil (21) bestehen, welch letztere mit Kurbelarmen (26) versehen und durch eine in der Trägerplatte (3) angeordnete Koppelstange (35) miteinander betätigbar sind. Die Trägerplatte (3) besteht aus Kunststoff und weist einen auf ihrer Unterseite offenen Hohlraum (4) auf, in dem die Kurbelarme (26) und die Koppelstange (35) untergebracht sind. Die schwenkbaren Bügelteile (21) sind in Lagerbuchsen befestigt, welche einstückig an den ebenfalls aus Kunststoff bestehenden Kurbelarmen (26) angeformt und in hohlzylindrischen Lageraugen bzw. Lagerbohrungen der Trägerplatte (3) gelagert sind. Die Koppelstange (35) und/oder wenigstens einer der Kurbelarme ist mit einer lösbaren Rast- oder Sperreinrichtung (38) versehen, welche die beweglichen Bügelteile (21) gemeinsam in deren die geschlossene Bügelform bildenden Schwenklage arretiert. Vorteil: einfache, kostengünstige Herstellung, leichte Handhabung, hohe Funktionssicherheit.
