Abstract (en)
An intercepting sewer for conveying waste water through steep gradients is essentially characterized in that it has projections provided therein. More particularly, the projections are arranged circumferentially, are equidistant and are geometrically designed so as to give rise to generalized turbulence within the flow and to localized losses of head thereby to dissipate any indesirable kinetik energy.
