[origin: WO8602827A1] The massage apparatus is intended to help blood irrigation and prevent the occurrence of varices at the lower extremities of the user body. It comprises two concave shelves (1) formed of hollow cylinders embodying the massage members. Said members are movable with respect to a fixed frame (10) and are imparted with a pivoting motion by means of a motor (11). A plate (7) is arranged facing the frame (10) and is movable with respect to the latter, displaceable by means of a cam (9) driven by a motor, and is returned by a spring (8), said motion being performed in the longitudinal axis of the massage members (1) as a horizontal vibration. Cylindrical supports (3) form together with the plate (7) a unit. They are used to support the massage members (1) rigidly fixed to an arm (2) extending downwardly. Both arms (2) are imparted with an alternating motion by means of a double cam (4) driven by a motor, a pusher (5) and a return spring (6). Said arrangement enables to perform an individual massage in conformity with the conventional massage, that is to say a rotating and pivoting motion perpendicular to the leg axis and a fore-to-aft motion along the leg axis.

L'appareil de massage est destiné à favoriser l'irrigation sanguine et à prévenir l'apparition de varices aux extrémités inférieures de l'usager. Il comprend deux coquilles (1) concaves formées de cylindres creux, constituant les organes de massage. Ces organes sont mobiles par rapport à un cadre fixe (10) et animés d'un mouvement de pivotement grâce à un moteur (11). Une plaque (7) est placée en face du cadre (10) et est mobile par rapport à lui, déplaçable au moyen d'une came (9) entraînée par un moteur, et ramenée par un ressort (8), ce mouvement étant exécuté dans l'axe longitudinal des organes de massage (1) en une vibration horizontale. Des supports cylindriques (3) forment avec la plaque (7) une unité. Ils servent au maintien des organes de massage (1) fixés rigidement à un bras (2) s'étendant vers le bas. Les deux bras (2) sont animés d'un mouvement alternatif au moyen d'une came double (4) entraînée par un moteur, d'un poussoir (5) et d'un ressort de rappel (6). Cette disposition permet d'assurer un massage individuel conforme au massage usuel, c'est-à-dire un mouvement tournant et pivotant perpendiculaire à l'axe de la jambe et un mouvement d'avant en arrière le long de l'axe de la jambe.
