Abstract (en)

1. Use of a sintered multi-phase tungsten alloy in which the proportion of tungsten is between 80 and 95%, and - in which the first phase comprises tungsten grains having an average diameter < 5 mu m and, - of which the second phase is a metal or an alloy containing one or more of the metals Ni, Cu, Fe, Co, Mo or Re as its main constituent, and - in which the tungsten grains of the first phase are encased and held together by the second phase, as electrode material for a spark gap for generating shock waves for medical purposes.
