[origin: WO8603681A1] Pharmaceutical compositions and methods of using same comprising at least one non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug other than aspirin, acetaminophen and phenacetin, in combination with at least one skeletal muscle relaxant, and optionally xanthine or a xanthine derivative, such as caffeine. The xanthine or xanthine derivative has a two-fold benefit; it enhances the effect of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and its stimulant effect counteracts the sedative effect of the skeletal muscle relaxant.

Produits pharmaceutiques et leurs procédés d'utilisation, comprenant au moins un médicament anti-inflammatoire non stéroïde autre que l'aspirine, la paracétamol et la phénacétine, en combinaison avec au moins un décontractant musculaire transosseux, et éventuellement de la scanthine ou un de ses dérivés, tel que la caféine. La scanthine ou l'un de ses dérivés présente le double avantage de renforcer l'action du médicament anti-inflammatoire non stéroïde, et par son effet stimulant, de contrer l'effet sédatif du décontractant musculaire transosseux.
