1. A system for providing staying or bracing between a thrust-loading reciprocating internal combustion engine baseplate containing a thrust bearing, more particularly a ship's screw propulsion engine, and the ship's foundation cover plate, the engine baseplate resting on the foundation cover plate via metal or plastic shims or the like and being connected to the foundation by means of foundation bolts via a snug fit in each case, characterised in that the staying or bracing is effected via vertically upright thrust plates (16) which extend in the direction of the thrust, are welded on the foundation cover plate (6), are bent at an angle, and are connected to the foot (12) of the baseplate (1) via locating bushes (14) in their free limb, said bushes receiving the foundation bolts (10).

Für die Übertragung der axialen Schubbelastung von der Grundplatte (1) einer Kolbenbrennkraftmaschine auf das Schiffsfundament (7) sind vertikal stehende auf die Deckplatte (6) des Fundaments (7) aufgeschweißte Schubbleche (16) vorgesehen. Diese Bleche (16) verlaufen in Richtung der Schubbelastung und sind mit ihrem freien Ende in die Horizontale abgebogen. Die Grundplatte (1) und das freie Ende des Schubbleches (16) sind über Paßhülsen (14) miteinander verbunden, die von Fundamentschrauben (10) durchsetzt sind. Die Fixierung von Deckplatte (6) und Grundplatte (1) über Schubbleche (16) und Paßhülsen (14) ermöglicht, die Paß-Sitze nicht mehr vor Ort im Schiffsfundament herzustellen, sondern vorher im Fuß (12) der Grundplatte (1) und dem Schubblech (16) fabrikmäßig zu fertigen. Bei Auflage der Grundplatte (1) auf Kunststoffzwischenlagen (8) ermöglicht die Abbiegung der Schubbleche (16) in die Horizontale ein Nachgeben der Abstützung, wenn der Kunststoff (8) sich setzt.
