Abstract (en)

In an exhaust conduit of an internal-combustion engine which can be separated non-destructively at at least one point, next to at least one separating point a cavity 16 is provided into which can be pushed axially a body 17, coated with a catalyser substance, with radial play. This results in the capability for rapid, problem-free installation and removal, and replacement of the catalyser body 17. Since the catalyser is not, as is usual, a component of the exhaust conduit, one and the same exhaust conduit can be used with or without the catalyser. <IMAGE>

Abstract (de)

In einer an mindestens einer Stelle zertörungsfrei trennbaren Abgasleitung einer Brennkraftmaschine ist neben mindestens einer Trennstelle ein Hohlraum 16 vorgesehen, in den ein mit Katalysatorsubstanz beschichteter Körper 17 mit radialem Spiel axial einschiebbar ist. Dadurch ergibt sich die Möglichkeit eines schnellen und problemlosen Ein- und Ausbaues sowie eines Auswechseln des Katalysatorkörpers 17. Da der Katalysator nicht, wie üblich, ein Bestandteil der Abgasleitung ist, kann ein und dieselbe Abgasleitung sowohl mit als auch ohne Katalysator verwendet werden.
