A leaf-spring valve (19) in a pump outlet (17), particularly on vane pumps (1), vane vacuum pumps, geared pumps, internal geared pumps, the leaf-spring valve being a resilient, flat valve strip (19) which is clamped at one end and has at one end a tongue (25) overlapping the pump outlet opening (17), characterised in that the pump opening (17) opens into an annular groove (18) concentrically surrounding a bearing eye (3) of the pump (1) and the valve strip (19) is circumscribed in its outer contour by a portion of the annular groove (81), that a straight secant of the annular groove (18) passing through the centroid (28) of the pump outlet opening (17) is the bisector (27) of the spring tongue (25) contiguous to the clamping end (24) of the valve strip (19), and that the centroid of the sealing plate (26) overlapping the pump outlet opening on all sides also lies substantially on this straight secant (27) of the annular surface (18).
