[origin: EP0206925A1] Finger plate to be affixed to a door at the location of the handle or of the manoeuvring knob of the lock of said door. This plate (1) carries a counterplate (2) forming a cover which conceals the location of the fastening screws (12) of this plate. This counterplate is fastened, on the one hand, by means of a tongue (13), or other fastening element, engaged in a notch or the like provided on the plate, and, on the other hand, by means of an assembly screw located at a point such that it is concealed by the base of the door handle or of the manoeuvring knob of the lock. Moreover, this counterplate is framed on the inside by a recess made in the plate (1). Thus, the fastening screws of this plate are completely concealed. <IMAGE>
