[origin: WO8700249A1] A water pump rotor comprises a hub (1) on which is moulded a disc (7), a circular or parabolic transition region (2) extending between the hub and the disc. A reinforcing metal disc (4) is embedded in the disc, including in its transition region, after it has been coated on its both faces by plastic spraying. The reinforcing disc (4) comprises a hub part as an integral part of the hub, which enables to mount the reinforcing disc on a drive shaft.

Das Wasserpumpenlaufrad besteht aus einer Nabe (1) mit einem daran angeformten Scheibenteil (7), wobei zwischen der Nabe und dem Scheibenteil ein kreis- oder paraboloid-förmiger Übergangsbereich (2) vorgesehen ist. Dabei ist im Scheibenteil einschließlich dem Übergangsbereich eine metallische Verstärkungsscheibe (4) beidseitig umspritzt eingebettet. Die Verstärkungsscheibe besitzt als Bestandteil der Nabe ein Nabenteil, mit dem es auf eine Antriebswelle aufgesteckt werden kann.
