Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0207850A1] 1. Aerial-rope installation for transporting goods or persons, of the type having one or more carrying-hauling aerial ropes (1) extending between two end stations respectively for loading or embarking (2a) and unloading or disembarking (2b), possibly with one or more intermediate stations, the ropes being held and guided by support rollers and compression rollers (3) carried by one or more generally several pylons (4) which are distributed between the stations (2a) (2b) and with which are associated in fixed or disengageable manner one or more generally several carriers (5), in particular cabins, a pylon (4) having at least one fixed beam (6) carried by at least one support bracket (7), the rollers (3) being mounted on the beam (6), characterized in that the rollers (3) are mounted on the fixed beam (6) along an intermediate reference curve C between the various rope curves corresponding to the different loading states possible, this reference curve C being determined by calculation for each particular placement, the rollers (3) being mounted on the fixed beam (6) totally independently -individually or in groups- of the neighbouring rollers or groups of rollers (3), the spindle (3a) of each roller (3) being fixedly mounted on the beam (6) or else movably mounted on the beam (6) by way of a rocker (8) articulated on the beam (6), which has the function of determining at least partly the path or the limits of the path of the rope (1) with a view to preventing sudden displacement or displacement of large amplitude of the rope (1) when the carriers (5) pass at right angles to a pylon (4) and thus preventing a swinging movement of the carriers.
