[origin: EP0207930A1] 1. A fixing device for press tools which exhibits a fixing piston (3) which can be turned and displaced in the press pressure plate (1) to pivot a tool fixing head (hammer head) (18) and to tighten the same against the tool, characterised in that the piston rod (12) of the fixing piston (3) is provided with a pinion (14) which is coaxial with the latter and cooperates with a rack (27).
