[origin: EP0208206A2] The ski binding has a sole holder which can be swivelled up counter to the force of a release spring about an axle mounted in a bearing block, the latter being mounted likewise swivellably, if appropriate by means of a swivel plate, about a vertical axis, which is fixed to the base plate, and is loaded by a return spring. Furthermore, a blocking member is provided on a spring-loaded blocking lever, the receiving point of which blocking member is formed by openings situated one above the other in the swivel plate and base plate, and which prevents the bearing block from swivelling in predetermined positions of the sole holder. The blocking lever (24) is in effective connection at its arm (24b) remote from the blocking member (24a) with the sole holder (10), by which means the blocking member (24a) is directly controlled by the sole holder (10). <IMAGE>
