[origin: EP0208244A2] The invention relates to an apparatus for continuously trimming a feed of overlapping printed products. To save erection space in the printing room in in-line production, the cutting process is not carried out on a table-like cutting device, but the products are guided round the drum-shaped counterknife device, so that the exit of the cutting device is located on the same side as the entrance. The upper band line resting on the products ensures an improved pressure on the products during cutting as a result of the looping which occurs in this mode of operation. The two circular knives necessary for making a severing cut or cut-out are arranged offset on the circumference of the counterknife device. <IMAGE>
