[origin: US4765097A] There is provided a surface-dressing tool for petrous materials exhibiting a better bite for a lower sound level and a lower energy consumption in that it comprises a pair of cylindrical surface-dressing rollers mounted rigidly on the ends of axles extending parallel between them. The driving force on a pair of rollers on one and the same axle is the resultant of the friction components of opposite sign of each roller in relation to the working surface.

On obtient un outil de surfaçage (1) pour matériau pierreux présentant un meilleur mordant pour un niveau sonore et une consommation d'énergie moindres, lorsque celui-ci comprend des paires de rouleaux (8,8') de surfaçage cylindriques montés rigidement aux extrémités d'essieux (12) parallèles entre eux. La force d'entraînement d'une paire de rouleaux d'un même essieu est la résultante des composantes de friction de signes opposés de chaque rouleau avec la surface de travail.
