[origin: EP0208884A2] The invention relates to a cable-drum unwinder for applying rollers (3, 4) in pairs to the flanges (2) of the cable drum (1). It consists of at least one rail (5), on which there are mounted transversely relative to its longitudinal direction two rollers (3, 4), one of which can be adjusted relative to the other in the longitudinal direction of the rail (5) for the purpose of reducing their spacing. With such a cable-drum unwinder, it will now be possible to apply the rail (5) with the supporting rollers (3, 4) to the flanges (2) from outside in the direction parallel to the axis of the cable drum (1).
