1. Cylinder head of a controlled-ignition internal combustion engine, comprising combustion chambers (3) associated with corresponding cylinders of the engine, and wherein each combustion chamber (3) is provided with a spark plug (30), two intake valves (7, 8) and an exhaust valve (9) adapted to seal two intake ducts (4,5) and an exhaust duct (6) which emerge, respectively, in two opposite lateral faces (10, 11) of the cylinder head (1), and in each combustion chamber (3) the exhaust valve (9) and a first intake valve (7) are arranged nearest the lateral surface (11) where the exhaust duct (6) emerges, characterized in that the two intake valves (7, 8) are substantially diametrically opposed, and the inner end (30a) of the spark plug (30) is located between the two intake valves (7, 8), on the side opposite the exhaust valve (9) and close to the center of the chamber (3), and in that the spark plug (30) is crewed into the lateral face (10) where the intake ducts (4, 5) emerge and it is arranged, in an inclined position, below the duct (4) associated with the first intake valve (7).

Cette culasse comporte des chambres de combustion (3) associées à des cylindres correspondants du moteur, et chaque chambre (3) est pourvue d'une bougie (30), de deux soupapes d'admission (7, 8) et d'une soupape d'échappement (9) propres à obturer deux conduits d'admission (4, 5) et un conduit d'échappement (6) débouchant respectivement dans deux faces latérales opposées (10, 11) de la culasse (1); dans chaque chambre (3) la soupape d'échappement (9) et une première soupape d'admission (7) sont disposées du côté de la face latérale (11) où débouche le conduit d'échappement (6), les deux soupapes d'admission (7, 8) sont à peu près-diamétralement opposées, et l'extrémité interne (30a) de la bougie (30) est située entre les deux soupapes d'admission (7, 8), du côté opposé à la soupape d'échappement (9) et à proximité du centre de la chambre (3). Cette disposition améliore la combustion des mélanges gazeux introduits dans les chambres (3) et diminue notablement la tendance au cliquetis du moteur.
