[origin: WO8604135A1] A bullet which is particularly suitable for use in situations where it is desired to disable a living target in a ''close quarters'' situation, comprises a body part made of a material having a density lying in the range 5.0 to 1.5 grams per c.c. and preferably in the range 2.6 - 2.9 grams per c.c., e.g. an aluminium base alloy and the body part may have a coating of synthetic plastics material. The bullet may have a planar leading end surface followed by a frustoconical part, a shoulder of planar annular shape, and a cylindrical part.

Une balle particulièrement indiquée dans des situations où l'on désire mettre hors de combat une cible vivante dans un milieu fermé, comprend un corps constitué d'un matériau d'une masse volumique se situant dans la plage de 5 à 1,5 g/cm3 et de préférence dans la plage de 2,6 à 2,9 g/cm3, par ex. un alliage à base d'aluminium. Le corps peut être revêtu d'une couche de plastique synthétique. La balle peut présenter une surface terminale de fuite plane suivie d'une partie en tronc de cône, d'un épaulement de forme annulaire plane, et d'une partie cylindrique.
