In an apparatus for cutting a foam plastic body (1), there is a cutting-wire system consisting of parallel cutting wires (2, 3) in two cutting-wire groups. The cutting wires (2, 3) of these two cutting-wire groups are arranged at a distance from one another in the longitudinal direction of in each case two retaining bars (4, 5 and 4, 6) and are fastened at one end to one retaining bar (4) via a helical spring (7) and at their other end eccentrically to the other associated retaining bar (5, 6) via a non-stretchable connection part (8). The two cutting-wire sets are oppositely movable to and fro by means of an oscillating drive (9) which imparts to the two retaining bars (5, 6) an oppositely directed movement oscillating about their longitudinal axis. In such an apparatus, an especially compact and clearly arranged construction of the oscillating drive is obtained if the two oscillating retaining bars (5, 6) are arranged on one end side of the cutting wires (2, 3) one behind the other, as seen in the longitudinal direction of the latter, and are respectively connected only to the non-stretchable connection parts (8) of one of the two cutting-wire sets, and if on the other end side of the cutting wires (2, 3) there is a common fixed retaining bar (4) for their ends equipped with the helical springs (7). <IMAGE>

Bei einer Vorrichtung zum Zerschneiden eines Schaumkunststoffkörpers (1) ist ein Schneiddrahtsystem aus parallelen Schneiddrähten (2, 3) in zwei Schneiddrahtgruppen vorgesehen. Die Schneiddrähte (2, 3) dieser beiden Schneiddrahtgruppen sind in Längsrichtung von jeweils zwei Halterungsstäben (4, 5 bzw. 4, 6) mit Abstand voneinander angeordnet und mit ihrem einen Ende über eine Schraubenfeder (7) am einen sowie mit ihrem anderen Ende über ein undehnbares Anschlußteil (8) exzentrisch am anderen zugeordneten Halterungsstab (4 bzw. 5, 6) befestigt. Die beiden Schneiddrahtsätze sind mit Hilfe eines Oszillationsantriebes (9) gegenläufig hin- und herbewegbar, welcher den beiden Halterungsstäben (5, 6) eine um ihre Längsachse oszillierende gegensinnige Bewegung erteilt. Bei einer solchen Vorrichtung kommt man zu einem besonders kompakten und übersichtlichen Aufbhau des Oszillationsantriebes, wenn die beiden oszillierenden Halterungsstäbe (5, 6) auf einer Endseite der Schneiddrähte (2, 3) in Längsrichtung derselben gesehen hintereinander angeordnet und nur mit den undehnbaren Anschlußteilen (8) jeweils eines der beiden Schneiddrahtsätze verbunden sind, und daß auf der anderen Endseite der Schneiddrähte (2, 3) für deren mit den Schraubenfedern (7) ausgerüstete Enden ein gemeinsamer fester Halterungsstab (4) vorgesehen ist.
