Head rest in the form of an auxiliary fitting for couches for the examination and treatment of patients, with a three-legged stand with a height adjustable, vertical telescopic central support for the head part, in which the central support is formed of a lower tube (3) and an upper tube (8) slideably guided in the lower tube and a fixing screw (12) for fixing the upper tube in the lower tube, and in which the top end of the upper tube (8) is provided with a swivel bearing (11) having a slot (12) for receiving a supporting frame (13) for the head part (14), characterised in that the head part is adapted as a padded head rest for patients in the face down position and that the head part (14) is padded and provided with an oval recess (18) for receiving the face portion of the head.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kopfauflage in Form eines Beistellmöbels zu Liegen für die Untersuchung und Behandlung von Patienten in Baulage mit einem dreibeinigen Stativ mit einem senkrechten teleskopartig höhenverstellbargeformten Mittelträger für das Kopfteil. Bei dieser Kopfauflage ist der Mittelträger von einem Basisrohr (3) und einem darin gleitbar und mittels einer Befestigungsschraube (12) fixierbar geführten oberen Rohr gebildet. Am oberen Ende des oberen Rohres (8) ist ein Schwenklager (11) mit einem Schlitz (12) zur Aufnahme eines Traggestells (13) für den gepolsterten Kopfteil (14) vorgesehen, wobei der gepolsterte Kopfteil eine ovale Aussparung (18) zur Aufnahme des Gesichtsteiles des Kopfes aufweist. Die Kopfauflage in Form eines Beistellmöbels zu Liegen für die Untersuchung und Behandlung von Patienten in Baulage ergänzt die konventionellen einfachen Liegen und macht sie dadurch für die genannte Behandlung und Untersuchung geeignet.
