Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0210118A1] 1. Cutting apparatus for machines making wound products such as wound tubes subject to a movement of rotation and made from strips of fibrous, cellulose, metallic and other materials and comprising means of cutting which can rock, characterized by the fact that the means of cutting are two cutting elements (66, 67), located practically above one another on a rocking fork-joint (40) formed of two wings (44, 45), whose cutting wire (66, 67) moves following a rocking arc (74, 79), the centre of which is the centre (75) of a joint (41) situated, on the one hand, at one of the extremities (42) of the fork-joint (40) rocking around this joint (41) and, on the other hand, at one of the extremities (42) of a fork (22) the positioning of which, in relation to the fork-joint (40) is ensured by means of adjustment consisting of adjusting nuts (63, 64) moving on threads (61, 62) cut at the extremities (53, 54) of a spindle (52) interposed between the flanks (23, 24) of the fork (22) at the place of the joint (41) and causing the displacement of a hub (43) located between the wings (44, 45) of the fork-joint (40) on the spindle (52), the other extremity (32) of the fork (22) being linked by a connecting spindle (33) to the extremity (34) of a cylinder (35) of which the extremity (36) of the piston (35) is linked by a connecting spindle (38) to the extremity (39) opposite to the extremity of the fork-joint (40) provided with the joint (41), the first cutting element (66) having a penetration stroke (66) slightly less than the thickness (68) of the wall (69) of the wound tube (4) subject to a movement of rotation, and the second cutting element (67) going completely through this wall (60) of the wound tube (4).
