1. Desk, especially for video worksessions, having a height-adjustable desk top (2) fastened immovably to a bottom frame (1) which can be set up on the floor, which desk has, beneath the desk top (2) in its rearward region facing the work side (5) a cable duct (7), which is open upwards, runs in the direction of the width, is fastened to the bottom frame (1), and into which cables from electrical equipment standing on the desk top (2) can be laid and led off to the side, and which desk has, parallel in front of the rear side (6) of the desk top (2) at a clearance enabling leading through of the cable a protective cable baffle (9) extending across the width of the desk top (2) and of the bottom frame (1), characterized in that the protective cable baffle (9) is fastened to the desk top (2), over the entire height-adjusting region of the desk top (2), touches the rearward wall (10) of the cable duct (7) or runs at a clearance to the latter which is such as to prevent the cable from being led through the clearance gap.

Mit Abstand (8) von der Rückseite (6) der Tischplatte (2) eines gegebenenfalls höhenverstellbaren Tisches ist eine im wesentlichen vertikal ausgerichtete Kabelschutzblende (9) an der Tischplatte (2) befestigt. Sie ist dabei so ausgerichtet, daß sie einen zur Rückseite (6) der Tischplatte (2) parallelen, rinnenartig nach oben offenen Kabelkanal (7) vollständig zur Rückseite (6) hin abdeckt.
