Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0210612A2] A biodegradable functional fluid of low flammability consists of or contains at least one brominated alkylbenzene derivative of the general formula I <IMAGE> in which R<1> is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, R<2> is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R<3> is a hydrogen atom or a group of the general formula <IMAGE> in which n is an integer having a value from 1 to 4, m is an integer having a value of 1 or 2, y is an integer having a value of 0, 1 or 2 and x is an integer having a value from 1 to 3, with the proviso that the sum x + y has a value from 1 to 3.
