[origin: WO8604291A1] The new support comprises a bar (1), jaws (2) and an extremity part (3) at each end of the bar. The extremity parts hold together the jaws which are arranged between them. Said jaws are each formed by a band of elastic material curved with a U configuration. The ends of said bands form feet which are engaged in the bar (1). The feet are displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the bar so that the introduction of a tool or instrument between the two jaws causes their spacing and the uniform distribution of the pressure on all the jaws. The support is thus capable of receiving tools and instruments of different thicknesses and shapes and to safely hold them due to the pretensioning of the jaws and to the progressive elasticity of the flanks from the feet up to the curved medial portion.

Le nouveau support comprend une barre (1), des mâchoires (2) et une pièce d'extrémité (3) à chaque bout de la barre. Les pièces d'extrémité retiennent ensemble les mâchoires placées entre elles. Ces mâchoires sont formées chacune par une bande en matière élastique, incurvée en forme de U. Les extrémités de ces bandes forment des pieds qui s'engagent dans la barre (1). Ces pieds sont déplaçables en direction longitudinale de la barre de sorte que l'introduction d'un outil ou d'un instrument entre deux mâchoires provoque leur écartement et la répartition régulière de la pression sur toutes les mâchoires. Le support est ainsi capable de recevoir des outils et des instruments d'épaisseurs et de formes différentes et de les retenir en toute sécurité grâce à la tension préalable sous laquelle sont mises les mâchoires et à l'élasticité progressive des flancs depuis les pieds jusqu'à la partie médiane incurvée.
