Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0211425A2] To manufacture a shoe without an insole, the lasting edge of a shoe upper (4) is stuck directly onto the underside of a last (1), more particularly using an adhesive which can subsequently be separated again. Then an outsole (5), which is provided with an adhesive layer (6) in the region of the lasting edge and possibly of the side leather, is stuck to the shoe upper (4). Then, for example by heating, the adhesion of the separable adhesive is removed and the adhesion of the adhesive (6) between shoe upper (4) and outsole (5) is increased. The last (1) can now be removed from the finished shoe. Such a shoe without an insole is particularly suitable as an orthopaedic shoe which makes possible direct contact between the foot and the soft upper side of the outsole (5). <IMAGE>
