Abstract (en)

[origin: US4725911A] The circuit breaker-contactor includes a circuit breaker part with mechanical contacts and a contactor part with mechanical contacts connected in series. A solid-state switch is connected in parallel to the contacts of the contactor part. A control unit controls the solid-state switch and the contactor part, in such a way as to close the circuit when the potential difference passes zero by conduction or interrupting the solid-state switch. The mechanical contacts perform only current conduction by shunting the switch in normal operation. The contacts of the circuit breaker part have associated with them an arcing electrode and a shunt circuit disposed to draw the arc, as soon as the contacts open, and to shunt the solid-state switch and contactor part mechanical contacts assembly.

Le disjoncteur-contacteur est constitué par l'association d'une partie disjoncteur à contacts mécaniques 22, 24, et d'une partie contacteur à contacts mécaniques 68, 70, 72 connectées en série. En parallèle des contacts 68, 70, 72 de la partie contacteur est connecté un interrupteur statique 56. Un bloc de commande 60 pilote l'interrupteur statique 56 et la partie contacteur, de manière à fermer le circuit au passage au zéro de la différence de potentìel par la conduction ou l'interruption de l'interrupteur statique 56. Les contacts mécaniques 68, 70, 72, assurent uniquement la conduction du courant par shuntage en fonctionnement normal de l'interrupteur 56. Aux contacts 22, 24, de la partie disjoncteur est associée une électrode d'arc 39 et un circuit de shuntage 62, agencé pour capter l'arc, dés l'ouverture des contacts 22, 24 et pour shunter l'ensemble interrupteur statique 56 et contacts mécaniques 68, 70, 72, de la partie contacteur.
