[origin: US4751010A] Disclosed are detergent-dispersant additives useful in lubricating oils prepared by neutralizing an alkylphenol sulfonic acid, followed by sulfurizing/over-alkalinizing the salt obtained and then carbonating the resultant salt. Lubricating compositions comprising a lubricating oil and from about 1 to about 30% by weight of the final composition of a detergent-dispersant additive of the invention are also disclosed.

Additifs détergents-dispersants obtenus par neutralisation d'un acide alkylphénol sulfonique, suivie d'une sulfurisation-suralcalinisation du sel obtenu puis carbonatation. Compositions lubrifiantes contenant une huile lubrifiante et de 1 à 30% d'un additif détergent-dispersant ainsi obtenu.
