A kitchen hood (1, 101), for professional kitchens or individual domestic kitchens, comprising a rigid mantle (2, 102) fitted, firstly, at its lower part (5, 105) with an exhaust intake orifice (6, 106) disposed above the cooking appliances such as cookers or other, and, secondly, with exhaust baffles (2, 112) or ducts (134) defining air circulation conduits (18, 118) provided with water injection nozzles (10, 110) for degreasing cooking fumes, characterised in that it comprises means for exhausting the contaminated air emanating from kitchen appliances and utensils, constituted by water injection nozzles (10, 110) located in proximity of an aperture (11) formed in one of the baffles (12) or at the inlet of the exhaust duct (134) creating low-pressure zones (8, 108) and placed either between the baffles (12) defining the conveying direction of the contaminated air or in the exhaust ducts (134) disposed downstream of the exhaust of contaminated air, the treated air being returned into the kitchen after treatment.
