[origin: WO8604508A1] Life equipment intended to the survival of a person in an atmosphere contaminated by atomic, chemical or biological noxious substances. The equipment disclosed is comprised of a protection envelope which completely wraps the person and of a breathing system. The protection envelope may be formed as a protection garment for an adult or a protection pocket for a child. For the breathing system, outside air is supplied to the inside of the protection envelope via an incoming air filter and a battery-operated incoming air blower and the air is then evacuated from the inside of the envelope to the free atmosphere by means of a battery-operated outgoing air blower via an outgoing air filter.
