[origin: EP0212047A2] To rapidly clamp tool parts, a spring clamping cylinder is proposed which essentially consists of a cylinder (1) and a spring-loaded piston (4) guided in the cylinder (1) and having a piston rod (3), in which arrangement the free end of the piston rod (3) has a head (3a) designed as a negative (female) part of a bayonet catch (12). The associated, corresponding positive (male) part is the head piece (17) of a screw which is screwed into a tapped hole in the machine part (20) to which a workpiece (19) is to be clamped. The end remote from the catch side has a socket which is part of a hydraulic quick-acting coupling (10) with which pressure can be exerted on the piston (4) against the spring force. The use of this quick-acting clamping nut is especially suitable in heating presses for tyres or in plastic blow moulding machines, especially for fastening tyre parts or blow mouldings. <IMAGE>
