The invention describes a lighter with an ignition unit, in which the spark-producing elements, such as spring (7), flint (6) and frictional wheel (5) or piezo elements (22, 23, 24) are arranged essentially coaxially with one another. It is essential to the invention in this connection that the spark-producing elements are arranged with their common axis (8) inclined in relation to the longitudinal axis (9) of the lighter. The additional fuel volume thus obtained means a substantial increase in the number of ignitions. Of particular advantage is the arrangement of the spark-producing elements in the valve-operating lever (10), which can be equipped with a blind-hole bore or a continuous bore for disposable or refillable lighters with a mechanical ignition unit. The spring length is identical in both cases. The frictional wheel (5) can be mounted directly in the head (3) or in the bearing eyes (13) of the lever. A modular construction is thus produced, which allows the manufacture of two main assemblies with corresponding initial control and subsequent assembly of different modules. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung beschreibt ein Feuerzeug mit einer Zündeinheit, bei welchem die funkenerzeugenden Elemente, wie Feder (7), Feuerstein (6) und Reibrad (5) oder Piezo-Elemente (22, 23, 24) im wesentlichen koaxial zueinander angeordnet sind. Erfindungswesentlich ist dabei, daß die funkenerzeugenden Elemente mit ihrer gemeinsamen Achse (8) geneigt zur Längsachse (9) des Feuerzeuges angeordnet sind. Das hierdurch zusätzlich gewonnene Brennstoff-Volumen bedeutet eine wesentliche Erhöhung der Zündanzahl. Von besonderem Vorteil ist die Anordnung der funkenerzeugenden Elemente im Ventilbetätigungs-Hebel (10) welcher für Einweg- oder Nachfüllfeuerzeuge mit mechanischer Zündeinheit mit Sacklochbohrung oder Durchgangsbohrung ausgestattet werden kann. Die Federlänge ist in beiden Fällen identisch. Das Reibrad (5) kann direkt im Kopf (3) oder in den Lageraugen (13) des Hebels gelagert sein. Hiermit ist eine Modulbauweise geschaffen worden, die die Herstellung zweier Hauptbaugruppen mit entsprechender Vorkontrolle und anschließendem Zusammenfügen verschiedener ausgeführter Module erlaubt.
